REED, Sarah Bell Jones - Putnam

Sarah Belle Jones Reed, was born near Fincastle November 4, 1861 and died December 23, 1935 at 6'Oclock at the age of 74-1-19. She married Chalmers B. Reed April 3, 1886. Five children were born to this union; Pearl Reed, Ernest Reed, Hazel Myers, she died 9 March 1935, and infant son and daughter died at birth. Survivors are the husband; two sons; Pearl and Ernest, one son in law, Lee Myers of Russellville, Brother John Jones of Roachdale, two sisters Mrs. Malinda Kendall of New Maysville, Mrs. Giles Akers of Hillsdale, two half sisters; Mrs. Nancy Hart of Parkersburg, and Mrs. Mollie Fraley of Phoenix, Arizona; 6 grandchildren; Margaret, Charles, Carl and Marie Reed, Mildred and Alva Myers    --- thanks so much to Marilyn Walker for donating her wonderful Roachdale Times obituary file for use on this site
